It worked with mine, no problem.

I think you can install a Japanese version of the software if you so desire - but it's not necessary.umijinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16081042598887322660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24307137.post-26157139901854113552008-06-03T23:03:00.000+09:002008-06-03T23:03:00.000+09:00can u tell me a thing?I also would like to buy a t...can u tell me a thing?
I also would like to buy a tv tuner for my imac, and my choice is between elgato eyetv 250 and the i-o data gv-1394tv/m3.

the elgato one is more expensive here in Japan, but if i order it from US does it wirk with a Japanese imac?

thank you

MarcoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24307137.post-61467796708846277672008-02-09T22:47:00.000+09:002008-02-09T22:47:00.000+09:00You might try the Eye TV 250, a USB converter by E...You might try the Eye TV 250, a USB converter by El Gato. Since this I-O Data review, I purchased an EyeTV 250 in the US and mailed it to Japan. This unit attaches via USB, and give pretty much the same performance as the EyeTV200, but with a smaller foot print.

It's been available in Japan for a while now, but is more expensive than what I paid. I guess Roxio Japan is gouging us for the Japanese translation.
See the Apple Store: http://store.apple.com/0120-APPLE-1/WebObjects/japanstore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=7E4EB91E&nplm=TH589J/A

The EyeTV software has improved drastically, and even allows you to broadcast wirelessly to your iPod Touch (or iPhone). There are other, even smaller, converters by El Gato and other manufacturers that convert to HD format or similar. But those lack analog inputs, AFAIK.

Good luck!umijinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16081042598887322660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24307137.post-31915962329829283042008-02-09T21:15:00.000+09:002008-02-09T21:15:00.000+09:00thanks for the review. I am using Vidi for display and recording. That setup works well.

I want to buy a new analog/digital converter because once in while I do want to use the video-cam for its intended use and I am tired of un-connecting and re-connecting it from the Mac. I haven't found the right converter in Japan yet. Any suggestions are welcome.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24307137.post-72857361191856454162008-02-09T21:11:00.000+09:002008-02-09T21:11:00.000+09:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
